Mmmmm, Not So Much

We went to pick up our new entertainment center tonight at good ol' Walmart. I was SOOO excited because there was NOOOO sales tax! The price we saw on the internet was exactly the price we paid. Woo hoo! Anyway, it was quite a lug to get in the car. And unfortunately, we had Nighthawk, not Ace. But a really nice Walmart employee helped Matt load it in. The question was, how would we get it out when we got home.

Well, we settled in upon arriving home to watch The Apprentice, a show Matt reallllly gets into. It's so cute. :) Then we got ready to unload the entertainment center. We oh so wisely decided to open the box in the car and take the contents into the house piece by piece (or a couple pieces at a time). Whew! What a blessing God gave us that idea!

Now that I see all the pieces scattered all over our living room, I can say for sure that I will not be attempting to assemble this piece of furniture on my own. Not so much.

But, we are excited about it--it should be really pretty when it's done (just what Matt wants, a pretty entertainment center to hold his electronic goodies ;)), AND it will hold the new tv, also a very good thing. So, our Thursday night date night (we've typically been setting aside Thursday nights for "us," no matter the house work or job work--thank you Alan and Stephanie for setting such a wonderful precedent!) consisted of dinner at Chili's, browsing a new Christmas tree lot (again, the Douglas Firs were spray painted!!!), and getting an entertainment center from Walmart. How romantic! Not so much--well, you wouldn't think so. But it was, because I was with my honey. :)

I'll be sure to post before, after, and "during" pictures of the furniture assembly. :)

Love,
Becca

That sounds exciting! "Date night" doesn't have to be "romantic", it just has be be quality time together without the pressures of outside obligations. Which I'm sure you two are the perfect picture of. ;)
