"Bong!"...It's More Than Just a Noise

Helloooooooooooooo, Everyone! Well, I'm finally making my debut on Blogger. So I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I'm going to enjoy writing on here from time to time :)

I'm not sure where to begin, since Becca has done a wonderful job of keeping everyone up to speed regarding the goings-on here in Gainesville. So, I'll start with today's events, and bounce all over the place with current and past events. So, today my boss was pushing us hard to get some prints ready to send off to the manufacturer. We're going to have some test parts based on our tweaked design made for Q4 - one goal down, one more to go...Yeeessssss! (We have quartely goals we have to meet in order to make happy the powers that be ;) So, that said, my boss was happy and we should be ready to send the prints off tomorrow. Sweet!!!!!!

begin random conversation...

So, we got us some SOOOOWND!!! Becca and I used some gift money to buy an ONKYO home theater system a couple of weeks ago. It has Dolby 5.1 Digital sound. Dolby 5.1 = Gilmore Girls (banter ;) ) and Halo 2 never sounded so AWESOME! The sub is my favorite part ;) We managed to hide the surround speakers beside the couch, allowing them to be hidden from sight, but definitely not from being heard.

After killer sound, the next goal was a new entertainment center/new TV....While B and I were in Knoxville 2 weeks ago, Brad, Dad and I went to Circuit City to look for Command Center audio/visual accents. Brad and I were scoping out the TVs and happened upon a sweet looking 26" flat screen, HD-ready wide screen TV. The picture was awesome, but the price was a bit steep. Brad and I watched the demo video with pleasure, and then went on our way. 2 weeks passed...low and behold...I find out that the thing went on sale and was now within our budget's grasp...Its on the floor now, but B and I are going tomorrow night to pick up a new entertainment center we scoped out at Wally's. We're SO excited! Then the Home Entertainment Experience will be realized!! HA HA HA HA HA! just kidding...

Well, I need to get going, so I'll wrap up...

Now, an explanation of the title... heh.

Becca-ism #1

Well, round about bed time, we all know that Becca begins to speak a different language (Baccanese) and we both have some great laughs :) (I love you, B). Well last night was a revelation...mmmm mostly for her. It came about that we were joking, and I guess I did something goofy. So becca thought my actions deserved the sound a gong cymble makes (remember the Gong Show?). She raised her hand and came down swinging her imaginary gong hammer and paused because she really didn't know how to describe the sound. So I offered the word "DONG". Becca said, "Oh,...I thought it was called a BONG." I cracked up! I gently explained that a bong is something that people smoke marijuana from and she died laughing....hence, "Bong is more than just a sound." Bedtime is so much fun!

Well, I've run out of time for now (I have work to do for tomorrow, but I'll write again tomorrow) I love you all, and Becca and I can't wait to share Christmas with you!

Tomorrow I'll tell you about Becca-ism # 2: Joyful, Joyful, We Adore ME. (catchy, isn't it? :o) )

Love,
Matt

Congratulations on finishing your work! You know that """"bong"""" is the sound that a Gong makes. Just to help Becca out, it's not only something you smoke. Although I did have to laugh out loud when you brought that to her attention. That was a great blog Matt!

All the new stereo and television stuff sounds great! If you are anything like me, I bet you had fun hooking everything up and trying it out.
