Easy to Please

I have to say, I have a wonderful husband. "Sure," you're all saying, "you've been married less than 2 weeks." But really! He's been so sweet and gentle and understanding as I'm adjusting to this strange state 8.5 hours away from my previous home. He even manages to be hungry for the easiest foods! I called him while at the grocery store and he inquired as to what items I was purchasing. I told him the meals I planned to make, and when I got to sloppy joes, he said, "Ooo! When are we having that??" I was thinking we'd have it for lunch sometime this weekend, but I asked him if he wanted to have it for dinner that night. His response? "Can we??" So, I made sloppy joes for dinner for Matt after my first full day living in Gainesville. It was an easy night, I must admit. :)

Joy and I were talking about this post over dinner tonight and she said you definitely have it easy making Sloppy Joes for dinner, at which point I said, hey, that would be good once in a while. I guess Matt and I both know a good thing when it is offered to us!

That is so not how the conversation went Mr. Guilford! Your said, "well I guess that sloppy joes are pretty filling so we could have them maybe if I was stranded on a deserted island and that was all there was left to eat". At least that is what it sounded like to me. :)

Hehehe... sorry, Joy, I didn't mean to make your meal planning more difficult. I thought Brad might extra appreciate your cooking if Matt's getting sloppy joes! :)

Last night I made chicken pot pie, not totally gourmet, but more so than sloppy joes. :)
