This morning I rolled over to look at the clock and squinted even more than usual (hadn't put on my glasses yet). I took a second look when it seemed the clock read an unreasonably late time for the alarm not to have sounded yet. I continued squinting, leaned forward, and saw the clock read "6:59." I said, "MATT!" "It's 7:00!!! We have to get up!!!" Not only do I usually leave beteen 7 and 7:05, but today is my Friday duty today. So I HAD to be here by 7:15. I could have called and told them what happened, but I had to be here anyway. So I threw on an orange polo (go Vols!), some jeans (I have started wearing jeans some Fridays... a blessing on days like today!), grabbed 2 breakfast bars, and took off. Not a relaxing way to start a Friday. I thought, "this does not bode well." But the day's been fine so far.
Right now I'm in my room eating some crackers I managed to grab as I dashed out of the house. I still have one breakfast bar, too. So, I guess I'll be having a "late lunch," when I go home after the kids leave (I can leave around 2:00---but will I actually get out of here? If I get some forms filled out while they're at P.E., then I should be able to leave at 2, I think). Anyway, it's kind of a nutty day. Friday mornings have 3 tests (spelling, writing, and reading), which is not so exciting. But we had time for some Brain Pop videos about the grammar we're studying, which was a big hit (as always). In math they had several activities to review the geometry we've covered so far. Now they have lunch, P.E., writing, and science. I wanted to make rain guages in science, but I don't think enough of them brought in water bottles. Sooooo, we'll probably finish up/present our "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs"-esque weather reports. :)
Then it will be the weekend!
That's all for now. :) I have to get ready to take them from lunch to P.E.
Blessings,
Becca
