I really will explain more about Matt's "cleaning agent" costume, but I've been promising a picture of our breakfast nook stool for a couple of days now. I assembled it, and then Matt used his handy-dandy cordless drill (yea for power tools!) to afix the seat to the chair and stabilize the legs and their supports with a few more screws (as the directions instructed). Above you see the finished product! Hooray!
Today I also lined the drawers of his tool chest with grippy rubbery stuff, so the tools won't slide around, etc. It was a fun, perfectionist, scissor-liking job for me to do. :) I even cut small segments to fit the pull-out tool box, as you can see, with all its little compartments.
Lastly, there is a picture of the birthday tree my parents sent us for my birthday countdown (and again for Matt's in July, and so on). Each day the birthday person gets to open a drawer and find an ornament with which to adorn the tree. So far I have found gift bags, horn blowers, spiral-y decorations, a party hat, pinwheels, and beads.... it's VERY happy and fun. I'm sure Matt can't wait for July when it's his turn. ;)
Tomorrow I plan to figure out the whole iTunes thing. I need to charge my iPod that my wonderful husband gave me. :) And the computer converted all my saved song files on here to the right format to put on the iPod. Matt gave me a black iPod nano as a wedding gift, and he downloaded one song from iTunes for when I received it--"Just the Way You Look Tonight," sung by Steve Tyrell, because that was our first dance at the wedding reception! Everybody now..... "Awwwwww!" :) Is he sweet, or what?!
I'm also still trying to decide about this toaster oven... I posted the question of how others use theirs on two different message boards. On one, I got the general idea that since we use our microwave, toaster, George Foreman, and big oven regularly, the toaster oven isn't necessary (and our oven heats up really fast). On the other, everyone said they use theirs all the time to heat pizza or one or two cookies. When I make a batch of cookies, I do NOT want to cook them 6 at a time in the toaster oven. Any opinions? If I decide "no," then I might return that to Target tomorrow... we'll see. And I need to look up the building for my substitute fingerprint check on google maps and see if I can get by there tomorrow. Hopefully the same fingerprint/background check will work for the completion of my teaching license transfer too! We'll see!
We're off for some sleep! It's more than halfway to the weekend--yea!! :)

As far as the toaster oven goes, maybe they are just heating up cookies that have already been baked previously, not actually cooking them. That way you can have a nice warm cookie (or brownie) with ice cream.
I think Christy's onto the issue with the toaster oven. I used one all the time with the kids I babysat--heating their lunch or dinner. But we aren't expecting to have kids who eat toaster oven-able food for several years... and I'm not sure it's worth the storage when we could just get one then. I'm still not sure--one day I think I'll return it, and the next I think I'll at least store it. Hmmmm. :)
I love your chair! And that birthday tree is precious! That's an awesome idea! As far as the toast oven goes, (and this totally doesn't relate to FL) I can't wait to get one! For 2 people heating up the entire oven just isn't worth it - time wise or money wise. In the summer, to heat up the house with the oven would only cost more money cause you have to turn the A/C up even more. And in the winter, well I still can't see the sense in heating it up for 2 things...when I could use the toaster oven. For casseroles and such (I know I spelled that wrong) oven = woohoo! Pizzas and small meals toaster oven = woohoo!
Brad and I could store your toaster oven for you!!! Just a thought! :)
