I will update more later, but I just wanted to say I'm SOOOO excited and thankful for a long weekend. I have Monday off, and yesterday was an inservice day. I love my class, I truly have a ball with them, but it was nice to have an uninterrupted day in my room. It is all tidied up and ready for the open house! I'm really happy with how it looks. Now I just need to finish lesson plans, grading, and then move to averaging semester grades.
Today we are hoping to put Christmas stuff in the attic. That's our big house goal. That will free up some space to continue clearing out/organizing the "box room." Sammy also has her first obedience class today. She's doing pretty well with stay/leave it, actually! :) Come is still "coming." hehe
Lastly for now, we had a wonderful time last night at the Matthews'! It was really a blessing, and I'm so glad we got to do it. We learned a new game, too. :)

What game did you learn?
Well, one exciting thing was they asked us if we knew about Settlers--they had recently played it with another church family. So, now we have two leads on people to play Settlers with, since Mark and Jamie are gone now. Secondly, they taught us a domino game that was really fun. It was called trains. :) I'll post more about it in the real post (since this was the "prelude to a post."). :)

We have the domino game "trains" but have never figured it out... not that we are slow . . I guess I should say we have never taken the time to figure it all out.
