It is the weekend, it is my birthday weekend, I have a funny picture of Sammy to share, and there is BIG news on Joy's blog for you to check out. :)
1. It is finally the weekend! After the hustle and bustle (and FUN) of E's ("Alice" from my links on the right side bar) wedding and then being sick when I got home and taking a sick day Monday, I felt behind ALL week. I am very glad for a weekend and a fresh start on Monday. :)
2. Which brings me to my birthday! My birthday is Monday! Woo hoo! :) Since week days are busy, Matt and I agreed we could celebrate my birthday today. He'll still sing me happy birthday again and everything on Monday, but today is the day we get to realllllly celebrate all day. :) He's headed out right now because he wants to make me French toast (I offered to let him just pick up some biscuits from McDonald's). Then I have our fall decorations to place around the house, and there's a craft festival downtown he suggested we peruse. :) I think it's going to be a GREAT day!
3. Sammy can be quite mischievous. The other day I walked toward the kitchen and heard a kind of rustling sound. As I reached the kitchen, it sounded more like a muffled chomping, and I noticed the laundry room door was open. I walked in and saw this....
She managed to unfold the top of her food bag and help herself to an all-you-can-eat bag-ffet (buffet)! I CRACKED up and called for Matt to come see. I tried to pry her away from her beloved food (she HAD been fed already), but I was laughing so hard she escaped and ran back. Her tummy was SO full and distended. We sent her outside repeatedly hoping she could empty her stomach, didn't give her breakfast the next day, and cut back on her dinner. Just last night she got her normal amount of food as her stomach seems to have returned to normal. :) In addition to stealing food, she has taken to RUNNING into the lanai and jumping up into the chairs at the table. She curls up, and then Matt says she gets bored and begins to bat at the upholstery. She is a funny, funny dog. :)
4. And finally, you MUST go check out Joy's blog. I have been trying so hard to be good and not say anything. Hidden in an entry about a toilet is a very exciting piece of information! :) :) :) We love you guys! :)

First I must say you FL people and your “lanais"! If only our weather was a little warmer we here in TN could be cool and have a lanai as well. I just had to give you a bad time, as it sounds so proper and oh so wonderful to have a lanai. They have lanais in Hawaii as well so if you squint a lot and pretend there are huge volcanoes around you could almost say that you live in Hawaii! Of course there is the whole pretending about living on an island thing as well. Okay, that was random and crazy!
Sammy sounds a little like Charis! Charis is just as passionate about her food as little Sammy (although not little for much longer). Charis has started randomly asking for cheese! If she could just figure out how to open to fridge!
I must say that you are welcome to chat about our toilet news! You are sweet to direct people to my blog but you are welcome to chitchat! :)
Last but not least we hope that you have had a SUPER WONDERFUL birthday celebration day! How sweet to have the whole day with your hubby! We wish that we could be there to wear a party hat with you! We love and miss you lots! Know that we are celebrating with you!

Happy Birthday old lady!!! I'm glad you are celebrating early. That way the birthday gets dragged out longer. :) Have a wonderful special day and I hope you are all caught up. Trust me, I totally know what you are going through. This week is my catch up week and report cards come out the next week! AH!
