Home Improvement

Today Matt went fishing with a friend from church in Cedar Key on the Gulf. I stuck around the house relaxing and putting some finishing touches here and there on the house (not to mention playing with Sammy. It's been so sweet to hang out with her lately, especially as she gallops around the back yard).

(I have to admit, I have the UT game on right now, and w/ith 5:15 still on the clock for the first quarter, we just scored a TD!! I bet my dad is out of his chair cheering! :) This brings back sweet memories of last fall...)

When Mom was down the beginning of last month (how can that be a month ago already?!?) we got a hutch/message center thing for the kitchen. Today I finished putting it together, sprayed Bitter Apple all over the parts Sammy can reach, and placed it in the kitchen (I also moved the wedding collage Joy made over). What do you think??

The middle section folds down, and the bottom section opens like a cupboard door.

And here's the sign we started two months ago after Rick and Katy's wedding. I finished up the verse around the border today and added the vine and berries on the sides. I also then hung the sweet key holder Mom sent. :)

(you can tell I was not holding the camera quite straight... just tilt your head a little)

Also, we have new neighbors! Today I met the new neighbor and his two daughters (who ooooed and ahhhhed over Sammy--ones's a senior in high school and one's finishing up her AA). Now I need to make them a chocolate chip pie--the Guilford new neighbor tradition (I guess I'll make it a Kubo tradition now, too). :)

LOVE to you!
Becca

It is so much fun to "play house"! I find myself constantly wanting to move things around and add a little something here or there. Plus making things to go in your very own home is super fun! The house looks great Becca! I really love the message center also! It is right up our organizational alley! :)
