Tired...

We are TIRED! This week is our church's first ever vacation Bible school, and we are wiped out! Matt's also been in the midst of completing a project at work (something MY HUSBAND designed was implanted in a patient's body for the first time EVER today!!!!), and I've been reworking some stuff for math tests for school. We've been busy! I've also cut all the cardstock for moving announcements, and I've addressed up through the Gs. I just need to finish addressing, stamp them, write our new info (including getting a new FL cell phone number), and mail them! Whew! We are definitely planning to take it easy this weekend.

I'm sorry this is a short update, but I'll have more soon. :) Unfortunately, it seems our hydrangea and lily were planted rather late in the season and didn't get to "put down roots" enough to withstand the FL extremes--tropical storm Alberto one week, and rainless 90s the next. They have all but withered away. I'm trying not to cry. We'll try again next spring. :-(

We hope you are having a good week!

Love,
Becca

Becca,
So sorry about the plants. If you go to my website, there is a link (under the link section) for planting and gardening in Florida . . there might me some useful info in there. Hardy Begonias (the red and white ones I put in front of the house on Bermuda Dr.) do well around here with the heat.

Take care.

Becca,
I'm sorry about the plants :(. I am a novice gardener myself and have had my share of plants not working out! Have you ever planted herbs? It's so much fun! You can go out and pick them when you cook, and you just feel very martha stewart-ish!!! I plant them in pots and just water them quite a bit, and they grow very well down here. I have had the most luck with them so far!
I'm so glad you had a great trip to Disney World...I enjoyed seeing your pictres!
I tried to post a comment to you a while back and can't remember if it went through. In case it didn't...today is my last day of work, and we are moving this next wednesday or thursday to atlanta. I am sure we'll see you at the Hawkins/Griffin wedding- I hope so!
Keep in touch-I certainly know how it can be so hard to be away from family and friends and feel loneliness-I was reminded of that when I read your blog about the beagle and being lonely. When we got our golden retriever, it helped me so much to have a baby to come home to and take care of. If we were only in the same town in FL, it would have been fun to share "missing Knoxville" times together!!! But please keep in touch and I hope you enjoy your summer. I will keep looking at your blog to see how things go and hear from you whenever you get a chance!!
Love,
Nancy
