Summer Vacation: Day 1

Today was my first day of summer vacation! :) Yea!

I didn't exactly sleep in, although I did stay in bed until Matt was done in the shower. Then I got up to make his lunch for the day. Only, he ate that as a late morning snack and ended up joining me at home for lunch. :)

I also trimmed up one of the hedges out front (and subsequently swept/raked up all the stuff I've cut off the front hedges this evening while Matt changed my car's oil). I also unpacked seeeeveral more boxes of kitchen stuff, deposited all my summer paychecks, and checked our mail at our old townhouse mailbox (they were very nice about it). The mail we received at the townhouse included a "new address" confirmation--so at least the Post Office knows we're not there anymore. Now we are waiting to see if they deliver it HERE. :)

Since our internet is working, I ordered a couple shower/wedding gifts for friends getting married this summer. That was fun and brought back fun memories. :) I also vacuumed this evening, as Matt made a couple comments that it would be fun to see vacuum lines in the new carpet. :) He was right. :) hehe

Still to go this week: checking my new science curriculum inservice date, making a DMV appointment to get a new driver's license with our new address, ordering new checks with our new address, perusing Tuesday Morning, and browsing Linens N Things (we have some store credit and a coupon).
