I am the biggest dork... EVER!

Okay, confession time.... I feel SO stupid!

For the past month we've been in the new house, I've been lamenting that NONE of our mail had been forwarded to the new address! Magazines, bills, whatever, NOTHING. Not a single piece of mail with the yellow forwarding label showed up at our house.

Today I called the carrier supervisor to figure out what was going on (as directed by our local post office).

The scoop? Little ol' me put the WRONG street number on the change of address form! Instead of 32nd, I put 23rd!! I KNEW this city should have changed the streets to names instead of numbers! What are the chances I would mix up "Magnolia Ave" with "Riverrun Lane" or something equally creative and fun? Now, I realize it really is my fault, and I'm not trying to pass the blame (although, street names WOULD be easier, in my opinion). I caught myself reversing the street number once before and wondered if that might have happened on our change of address form. Oh well, live, learn, fix things, try better next time (though hopefully, we won't be filling out a change of address for awhile). ;) It's fixed now, and THANKFULLY, the Lord has helped me look back at last month's bills and catch them all--whether or not the statement arrived here (is He faithful, or what?!).

Case closed. Mystery solved. Maybe Becca does need to move from 3rd grade to kindergarten and re-learn her 23s from her 32s. :)

Ooops! :)

I think that you would have switched names too. Moving is very overwhelming...;) I'm glad you solved the mystery. You have to be pretty smart to figure out how to solve it...so I wouldn't discount yourself entirely. We all have our moments. ;)

I'm just glad I'm not the only one who reverses numbers...must be the sign of superior intelligence!?! :)
