Halfway--Woo hoo!

***EDIT** Since I used my time being a good girl (making the dr. appt. and gathering some housebuying info), I get to make a lame dinner tonight--I didn't finish until 5:30 and that's not prime grocery shopping time! My husband is the best!!***

Halfway through the week--yeaaaa! :)

Time is flying by--it's amazing! The end of school will be here before I know it. We are definitely at that "crunch time" point. :) And when you add on top of that trying to buy a house, it's NUTS around here! :)

We're also FINALLY (yes, quite delayed, I know... we're so blessed we haven't needed anything and been in a bind) getting around to locating doctors and such in our new city. Matt has an appointment, and I have one too. Honestly--no offense to any doctor friends--but, YUCK! I am not looking forward to it. But at least it will be over with. For "initial" visits and such, it just feels so scrutinizing! Anyway, I got in with a really young doctor who seems to have recently gotten married and finished her residency. One of her associates went to Johns-Hopkins, so that can't be too shabby! Actually, the doctor's booked until mid-summer (go figure--how like a doctor's office), BUT I can see a nurse practitioner/midwife instead and still get what I need (I made sure to double-check). I'm all for doctors who do what it takes to get you in and out, especially after my last experience. I know I'm borrowing trouble, but I was also trying to find a practice that was mostly female doctors. I realize by the time we're having babies and they're due, you pretty much want anyone who's well-trained to get the baby out of you; but I'd still prefer a woman over a man. There are 3 women and 2 men in this practice, and one of the men went to UT for med school. So, at least if a man delivers our (Lord willing, eventually) babies, it could be a volunteer (not literally, of course). :) That's one way to look at it, at least. The girl on the phone was really nice (another change from last time), and I made a point of saying it would be my second ever appointment--I wanted to get that across. I'm not an old pro--I dread this kind of thing. The latest available appointment was 1:45--when school dismisses... EXCEPT for Wednesdays when our kids leave at 12:30. I know several people who've scheduled various appointments for Wednesdays so they could get permission to go and not have to take time off. Now I just need to clear it with the principal.

Anyway, thrilling stuff huh? Please just keep us in your prayers that we would be guided by people's recommendations to Godly, discerning, skilled health professionals (we need a dentist, too). :) What stinky grown-up stuff to take care of!

Now I must run to the grocery store--and first make a list. I'm not hungry for anything, so coming up with dinner ideas ought to be interesting. :)

Have a great night!

Blessings,
Becca

Good job for you to get the doc. appt! I completely understand...even when you're an old pro, I think you still dread those appt. I do. ;) And I'm a teenage pro...not old, but I've been doing it for a bit. ;) hehehe Well keep up the good work just today and tomorrow. I know you're stressed with work and the new home and everything else. Keep your chin up and I'm so excited to get to see you soon!!!
