Congrats!

Cogratulations are most certainly in order for the following two people...

Kim! We are not the only ones with our first house closing--Kim is too! Only, she is on the "other" side of the whole ordeal..... as the realtor!! Congratulations, Kim! That is such an exciting accomplishment and we trust there will be many more closings to come! I only wish our FL towns were closer together so you could be OUR realtor, too! We are so proud of you, your hard work, and your perseverance! :) Hip Hip Hooray!

Uncle Andy! We received word that Uncle Andy's senate hearing for the judgeship is THIS week! You can read about his nomination to the U.S. District Court of Central California here. He goes before the Senate judiciary committee on Wednesday at 2:00. We are so thankful to see a righteous man (whom we are quite proud of as well) being selected as a leader! We are SO excited for you, Uncle Andy, and we are so glad Dad can represent the TN Guilfords at such an amazing event! We are thinking of you and thrilled to see this day arrive!

In boring news, I got our phone service set up to transfer as of the closing date. I also confirmed with the cable company as to their wiring appointment. As soon as Matt gets home, we're runnning to the grocery store. Then I probably have some grading and averaging to do (9 weeks grades and final grades are due by Friday morning, but I'm taking Friday off to attend the closing/prep the house--clean, tape off for painting, etc.). So, that means I need to have them entered before I leave Thursday. The entering part isn't bad, and the averaging isn't too bad, either. I just need to transfer their homework check-off, then I should be pretty good to go. Anyway, that's all blah blah. If you think of it, please pray for our field trip tomorrow! We're going to the University Air Field. I've never taken a class on a field trip as THE teacher before--yikes! :) The kids will get to see planes fly though, so it should keep their interest pretty well. :)

We hope you have a great evening! Congratulations again to our two special people! We rejoice with you!

Love,
Becca

Horrors!!! Fieldtrips always made me crazy! I will certainly be praying for you and a lot of CALM obedient kidlets!
I'm so glad you mentioned the hot lemon drink for my hoarse voice...I totally forgot about the magic of hot beverages! I've been drinking plain ole' cold water! Guess I'm not quite a mom since I don't have simple home remedies memorized.
I will be watching CSPAN for news on your uncle! I'll pass the news on to my parents too!
Happy grading! :)

Wow Becca,
Thanks for the happy words. It certainly was gratifying to get a paycheck but even more so to hear the new owner rave about how happy they are in the new place. That actually made me happier.
I have just listed three more properties this week. The sellers are all in dire straits and I have a feeling God has put me in the lives of these people for purposes other than to be their Realtor. I pray their places sell for them . . not so much for me. Can't wait to see the pics of the new place . . . Oh, and Mr. Connor made . . . are you ready . .
PRINCIPAL'S HONOR ROLL!!!. We are so proud of him!
