Marry Christmas

So we have officially celebrated our first married Christmas. :) And what a blessing it was! We are so thankful for the time we got to spend with family and friends in Tennessee and South Carolina. :) I'll post more about that later, but first there is a breaking news announcement....

On Wednesday, December 28, Erin (my maid of honor) accepted Adam's marriage proposal at Disneyland shortly before 11:30 AM. Adam worked out a plan with Erin's mom to get her to Disneyland--he had previously told her he would propose sometime at Disneyland (that's always been her dream). Having her mom take her to Disneyland allayed some of the sparkly suspicion. Erin and her mom were at the park on Wednesday morning, when through a series of events, Erin ended up sitting alone at a table in a restaurant while her mother stepped away for a moment. Adam came up behind her, very much surprising her. He proposed, she said yes (and cried--big surprise for those who saw her at the wedding ;) ), and she called me right away as promised! :) We are so excited for you, blessed to return the honor attendant favor by being your matron of honor, and look forward to a wonderful time of matrimonial celebration in the coming year! I am also particularly impressed with Adam's quick thinking as he planned to propose on Erin's favorite bridge at the park, but it was blocked off for a wedding! The restaurant plan was actually EXACTLY how I predicted to Matt that it would happen. :)

Today Matt is back at work (but excited it's only a 2 day week and 3 day weekend), and I will be cleaning Christmas decorations (or at least our very dry tree), unpacking, working in my classroom, writing lesson plans, and grocery shopping! Woo hoo!

We love you, and we hope you have a great day!

Love,
Becca

It was SO good to be able to spend time with Erin at your wedding (and while waiting for you and Matt to get going! ;^) ). Adam is one very lucky man!

Congratulations to the couple, and best wishes!

Aw..Becca! You are so amazingly sweet! Thank you for sharing all that on your blog! I can tell you one of the most exciting things about getting married is the prospect on getting to see you again. And sooner than 5 years. ;) I'm so so so excited about being engaged and I'm desperate to start planning everything NOW! But I have to be patient cause Adam isn't as rushy as I am in general. However...nothing official, but we're thinking Oct. 1 year from when you got married, is a possible timeframe for us! :) I like that. ;) Love you lots and thanks again!
