I GOT A JOB!!!

God is SO good! I interviewed this morning--my first interview in Gainesville, at a great elementary school about 15 minutes away. I met with the principal and assistant principal for about an hour. When I got home, there was a message from them requesting my references. I sent those to the school and then ran some errands. When I arrived back home this afternoon there was a new message.... that I had a job offer from Alachua County Schools! Woo hoo! I will be teaching 3rd grade, and it's to take over for a teacher retiring at Christmas break, but we'll probably have about a week's overlap before Christmas break. I am so excited! I call them back tomorrow to give them the official "yes," so Matt and I can have a chance to talk about it in person (I called him as soon as I got the message, of course). And I'll find out my official start date and everything then. I'll have orientation probably on the 21st and I have to get drug tested, and then I'm set!
