So I'm a posting slacker. Sorry!

A couple activities from the last couple weeks:

  • lots and lots of grading--the end of the first quarter
  • entered grades into the computer system for report cards
  • went away to Destin to celebrate our anniversary... more on that to come
  • found out we think either our washing machine or water heater is leaking...
  • but thankfully, my parents are coming this weekend and Super Dad is going to help us check it out
  • they're coming to visit because my birthday is this week (!!)
  • my class really liked my costume parade "costume" of an umbrella with dog and cat beanie babies hanging off it with fishing line... "it's raining cats and dogs!"
  • it was really cool because we had just talked about idioms and the history behind that particular idiom... they "got" it right away
  • I survived Halloween with a bunch of highly excited 8 & 9 year olds :)
  • we voted on Saturday... the line to pull into the library parking lot was so long, we just walked from our house (our neighborhood is almost exactly across from a library)
  • we actually didn't have to wait too long, because we got there in the 2nd quarter of the "big game"
  • by the time we were done, it was half time and the line was really long again
  • Sammy dog is the sweetest, snuggling, cuddling dog :)
  • it's starting to be chilly here!
  • I saw a colorful tree!
  • we go home for Thanksgiving this month!!
  • Matt is ROCKING his new job. :)
So there's glimpse at our lives. Stay tuned for more info and pics from our anniversary getaway... and my birthday. :) :) :)
