Where have I been?

Hopefully the next few pictures will give you a glimpse at what's been keeping us busy!

1. Matt used the blower to clean off the roof and clean out the gutters. SO much easier and faster than scooping the gutters out by hand. :)

2. I've been cleaning out the box room in preparation to make it a more functional room. It will be the "man room" for now, although what the exactly entails is yet to be determined. We will definitely put up our diplomas in there, along with a few choice UT items. :) Another thought is to put our smaller tv (from the den) in there with Matt's xbox, so he can have a room for playing, and the xbox would also allow movies to be watched in that room (it plays dvds). We'll put the twin bed from the guest bedroom in there also (and get a double bed for the guest room), maybe a bookshelf or my desk from growing up. The new furniture we received TODAY for it is a new armoire. Matt teases me, because it's actually a baby armoire (tall enough to hold baby clothes). But I figured, why buy something that will lose functionality later on? It will hold lots of "man room" stuff for now and baby stuff later (that's the room we plan to use as a nursery one day, Lord willing). :)

3. You can see the fireplace screen Matt gave me for Christmas. One of the side pieces wasn't molded quite right and wouldn't open to the right angle. Matt took it to the shop at work (it's written into employees' contracts that they can use the equipment for personal use!! Cool, huh?), and one of the guys there helped him fix it to perfection! I love how Matt is so "can do." Whereas I want to research something and look every angle, Matt is just the right amount of assured about his abilities and understandings and takes care of such things right away. :) It's a blessing to me!

3. Sammy had her first obedience class. She was really good! AND, we figured out one of the boy puppies from her litter is in the class--Sammy's in school with one of her brothers! :)

4. We succeeded at putting all our Christmas boxes up in the attic. There's room to spare in the garage now!! It's SO exciting! :) Matt did a great job arranging everything up there. And we found this fun sign from the original owners with every owners' name after them and the year the house sold each time (we're the 4th owners).

It will be a busy week with my school's open house tomorrow night, a women's ministry get-together Wednesday night, averaging grades, and all the normal stuff! But, I am SOO excited about getting the house closer and closer to "final form." :)
