Easy to Please, II

I forgot a funny story from our weekend visit to Knoxville! Well, I started to tell it, I think. But the details make it better. :) Matt himself suggested a new "easy to please" post in response. :)

When we were at McKay's, Matt was looking at video games. We don't play them often, but I got him an X-box last Christmas, and I had a gamecube. We also brought down my family's old Nintendo and Super Nintendo. Strange but true. Anyway, we were perusing the Super Nintendo games at McKay's, and I asked Matt if he was looking for anything in particular. He started to tell me about his favorite game from his early high school years. He said, "They probably won't have it but it's a black cartridge and it's called..." "Killer Instinct?" I asked. "Yes!" he exclaimed as I pointed to the very game he was talking about. And what did this glorious piece of Matt's childhood cost us to own? $3.95 I think we can swing that. ;) So, the game is now residing in the Super Nintendo console, where Matt pauses for a game now and then, and grins from ear to ear. :)

One other thing... Matt got new tires on his car right before the wedding, which he was/is quite excited about. :) On our way up I-75 (that's a blessing--we take I-75 all the way up to Knoxville, so it's very hard to get lost, even for me!), Matt was driving and we were behind a car going considerably slower than the speed limit and pace of traffic. As Matt accelerated to pass the car he said, "Go tires! Go tires! Go get 'em!" I cracked up! Maybe you had to be there, but it was so cute! He loves his car (and me). :)
